Overview

Come experience Oculus Outdoors – free, outdoor movie screenings on select Saturdays this summer. This year, we are screening two movies per event day: family-friendly afternoon matinees and comedy evening flicks.


Bring your own blankets or portable chairs and enjoy your very own one-of-a-kind, cinematic experience under the wings of the Oculus.  Limited seating will be provided on a first come, first serve basis, with or without a ticket. Guests are welcome to purchase small bites and non-alcoholic beverages for the movies at the Oculus Beer Garden, located directly across Oculus Plaza.

 

Afternoon films will begin at 2pm, doors open at 1pm. Evening films will begin at 7pm, doors open at 6pm. Walkups are welcome, but RSVP is recommended. RSVP here

 

Oculus Outdoors Movies and Dates

  • Saturday, July 15 at 2pm: Up

Up centers on an old man named Carl Fredricksen who is determined to get to South America to keep a promise he made to his wife, Ellie. 

  • Saturday, July 15 at 7pm: Coming to America

Prince Akeem is the prince of a wealthy African country and wants nothing, except a wife who will love him in spite of his title. Escaping an arranged marriage, Akeem flees to America accompanied by his persnickety sidekick to find his queen.

  • Saturday, July 29 at 2pm: Luca

The story of young boy (or sea monster), who experiences an unforgettable seaside summer on the Italian Riviera filled with gelato, pasta and endless scooter rides.

  • Saturday, July 29 at 7pm: My Big Fat Greek Wedding

A young Greek woman falls in love with a non-Greek and struggles to get her family to accept him while she comes to terms with her heritage and cultural identity.

  • Saturday, August 12 at 2pm: Soul

A story about the meaning of life and the connections we make with each other. "Soul" follows a pianist, Joe Gardner, who falls into a coma before his big break as a jazz musician and seeks to reunite his separated soul and body.

  • Saturday, August 12 at 7pm: Ghostbusters (2016)

Paranormal researcher Abby Yates and physicist Erin Gilbert are trying to prove that ghosts exist in modern society. When strange apparitions appear in Manhattan, Gilbert and Yates turn to engineer Jillian Holtzmann for help. Also joining the team is Patty Tolan, a lifelong New Yorker who knows the city inside and out.

  • Saturday, August 26 at 2pm: The Incredibles

The Incredibles centers on a family of retired superheroes and features Bob Parr, the father of the family, being pulled out of retirement to take down a new evil villain, Buddy Pine.

  • Saturday, August 26 at 7pm: Clueless

Clueless is a love story and a coming-of-age story. But above all, it's a story about trying to be a better person, and specifically about a privileged young white woman trying to be a better person.
